Thoughts about art:
No matter if we have to deal with an abstract painting or with an portrait; the essence of a painting is allways: paint and the shape we create with it.
Nevertheless, i graduated with huge abstract paintings, but i also kept painting portraits. Over the years, it seems, those abstracts and the potraits became closer. Perhaps maybe, they became - one and the same.
For me, painting portraits does not mean: paint it (one) like it looks like. It is not the visible reality i want to show you.
The same story goes up for the birds.
I think, art has a reality in its own. It has something to show you, and to say to us.
